Crying in Public

I once got lost in the Denver Tech Center. I was heading to a training that I was very exited about. I just could not find it so I started to cry. I went into Starbucks to ask if they could help me. But I was crying.  Someone did help me, but when I arrived at the training I was still crying. They asked me to wait outside until I stopped.

Are We Uncomfortable Crying?

So this post is about crying. Are we uncomfortable with crying? I think everyone feels differently about this at different times. Sometimes people do not want to start, for fear they will never stop. Some people have different ways of expressing themselves, such as humor, yelling or staying quiet, or keeping to themselves. None of these methods are good or bad. We are all different and thankfully have different options of expressing ourselves.

Places to Cry In Public

The attached article uses humor to talk about places to cry. It lists places that are okay to cry, such as outside in the rain, the dressing room and your car. So not only it is is hard to cry, but we have to have an appropriate place to cry! So much to worry about.

I mean no disrespect to those who cry. I just want to talk more about it. It is a way to express feelings and release frustration.  Babies cry to communicate and it seems we listen to babies.  They should be in charge!
