Winter Asks Us to Listen

by | Dec 30, 2015 | Reflection, Seasons | 0 comments

Winter in Colorado 2015-2016. It is cold. Winter asks us to look within, to see what we need.  It asks us to take extra care of ourselves, perhaps wear more layers, drink more water and to find ways to be around people.

Some animals hibernate in the winter, they go into a deep sleep so they can survive when the weather is freezing and the food is scarce.  Plants adapt by going dormant.  They take an annual rest!

Do you listen to what your body is asking for? Hats, gloves, a warm coat and a decent pair of socks is a good start. Stay hydrated by drinking warm tea. Take a quick walk to get outside and see the sky. Hopefully it is blue!
